Adult Education and Literacy - AE
AE is committed to helping our communities move forward through education. The AE staff prepares students for a Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency exam (GED, and HiSET tests) and the TSI exams. We build confidence with college and career prep support and provide job training and college skills. Classes are offered at no cost and include basic reading, writing, math, social studies, and science in a classroom environment. They are held throughout the entire year and are self-paced to allow students to work at their own speed. We accept new students every month.
- ESL - The ESL program for adults focuses on conversational English, grammar, reading, listening, comprehension, writing, and vocabulary. Students enjoy small class sizes and a personalized approach to learning.
- GED/TCHSE - Why should you get your GED? Increased job opportunities. Access to higher education. Greater earning potential. We offer classes and guidance to help you prepare for the GED exam.
- College & Career Readiness - This program helps students prepare to enter college-level courses and learn the skills that will prepare them to be successful.
- Work Ready - The Work Ready program provides academic and financial assistance to students enrolled in programs that lead to an industry-recognized certification. Enroll in the Work Ready program and earn a full-ride scholarship for a specific industry recognized certification!
