Business Office Management
The Associate of Applied Science degree and certificate in Business Office Management curriculum incorporates the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to succeed in the business world. Topics include calendar control, time management, human relations, filing procedures, telephone etiquette, listening techniques, and oral/written business communications. Computer skills include word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, and e-commerce applications. Students are also taught to prioritize tasks, schedule appointments, prepare budgets, and in some offices, business office assistants are responsible for maintaining the company's website or preparing the company's newsletter.
