Business Management
This program prepares individuals for careers as business professionals, supervisors, managers or small business owners. The curriculum is designed for students who want to take the business and technical courses necessary to enter the workforce and begin careers with the option to take the general academic courses associated with a four-year Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree at a later time.
This certificate program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary for success in customer service environments and careers.
The program introduces individuals to fields essential to small business management, including accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing. Computer and bookkeeping-accounting systems will also be presented. These skills are also useful to individuals working within large corporate environments.
All courses can be transferred into the Associate of Applied Science degree program in Business Accounting Management.

This award is only available to individuals who have an active Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) Cosmetology Operator license and are interested in completing an Associate's Degree in Cosmetology Operator Management. Individuals with an Associate of Applied Science can transfer to partnering colleges or universities to pursue a Bachelor's of Applied Arts and Science.
Students who present an active TDLR license will have the CSME coursework applied and articulated towards this degree. Contact an LSCO advisor or the Dean of Technical, Health, and Workforce Education for more information on how to articulate the credit and to learn about transfer opportunities.
Business Management Cosmetology Operator AAS (for licensed Texas Cosmetologists)
This two-year program provides students with the safety, regulatory, construction, industry, and business knowledge needed for construction managerial positions in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
The curriculum is designed for students who want to take the business and technical courses necessary to enter the workforce and begin careers with the option to take the general academic courses associated with a four-year Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree at a later time.
NOTE: This award is only available to individuals who have an active Teas Real Estate Commission (TREC) license and are interested in completing an Associate's Degree in Business Real Estate Management. This program prepares individuals for careers as a property, real estate, or community association managers. As business professionals, supervisors, managers or small business owners. A sales agent is a person who is licensed by the Real Estate Commission to act as an agent on behalf of a real estate broker and their clients. A sales agent must be sponsored by a licensed Broker in order to perform any act of real estate services. Individuals with an Associate of Applied Science can transfer to partnering colleges or universities to pursue a Bachelor's of Applied Arts and Science.
