The Texas State University System Polk County Center offers Associate of Arts (AA) degrees, Associate of Applied Arts (AAS), Associate of Science (AS) degrees, Certificates of Completion, and institutional Awards in a variety of disciplines. Programs are delivered through face-to-face, online, and hybrid instructional methods. Each program is designed to meet the needs of Polk County and surrounding communities.

Each program is sorted by one of five designated pathways: Business, Industrial Technology,
Public Service, Workforce and Continuing Education, Allied Health / Healthcare.
Our Business Programs / Pathway are focused on preparing students for a career in or related to the business environment. Students will learn how to become leaders, organize people, plan activities and work with data.
Students in Healthcare programs will be prepared for a career in health professions; one of the nation’s fastest growing industries. Application of knowledge and skills learned while in a chosen program will allow the student to contribute positively to patient care by improving or maintaining the health of those they serve.
Our Industrial Technology Programs / Pathway are designed for students pursing a career that supports fabrication, processing, preparation, and / or transportation of products from raw materials to commodities.
The Public Service programs provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in Cosmetology, Court Reporting, Criminal Justice and hospitality. Students will gain hands on experience in these rapidly evolving programs that will prepare them for success in the industry

We offer a variety of non-credit education and training programs as well as customized training for employers. We offer courses in healthcare, English as a Second Language (ESL), Microsoft Office, small engine, truck driving, and more.
